Archer's core offering is post-settlement Healthcare Lien Resolution Administration and QSF (Qualified Settlement Fund) Administration and payments processing for multi-claimant (mass tort and class action) litigation. Other services include claims administration, single event lien resolution, probate and bankruptcy coordination, release administration, plaintiff fact sheet preparation and management, medical records review, and automated solutions for MDL (multi-district litigation).  Archer enables law firms to focus on their litigation while ensuring that critical pre-settlement and post-settlement administration documents, services, business analytics and reporting are handled efficiently and effectively. 





The Medicare Set-Aside Certified Consultant (MSCC) Nurse is responsible for developing reports based upon guidelines provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services outlining the future Medicare-covered expenses of individuals whose liability claims are in the settlement process. The nurse will assess individuals with a life-changing injury or illness to determine their future medical needs with associated costs and ensure the client has the necessary funds to be cared for throughout their life. This position will utilize clinical and nursing skills to develop Medical Cost Projections and Medicare Set-Asides for liability settlements based on published standards of practice. The Medicare Set-Aside Consultant will rely on their medical knowledge to evaluate the patient's treatment plan for future medical treatment needs supporting the goals of the Medicare Services Department. 

  • Nurse reviewer will compose a written document that provides a comprehensive, clear, and concise analysis of medical records
  • Perform evidenced based medical research regarding unfamiliar diagnoses and future medical needs
  • Ability to utilize medical and nursing knowledge to compile comprehensive list of necessary future Medicare-covered expenses
  • Assign CPT coding and pricing to all future Medicare-covered expenses
  • Assign NDC coding and AWP pricing to all future medication pricing
  • Clarify need for Rated Age and obtain or calculate life expectancy
  • Calculate lifetime pricing utilizing state fee schedule or "usual & customary" charges
  • Required to read extensively and utilize standards of care per current CMS guidelines
  • Required to prepare organized reports within a specified timeframe
  • Required to use telephone extensively
  • Requires regular and consistent attendance



  • Ability to work proficiently with Microsoft Word, Adobe, and Excel
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate medical records in a clear, concise manner
  • Ability to function under pressure and with deadline-oriented project demands
  • Perform evidenced based medical research regarding unfamiliar diagnoses and future medical needs
  • Working knowledge in application of basic level of health care data analysis and clinical review
  • Detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task
  • 1-3 years of medical review experience

Required Certification:

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in state of operation
  • Certification as a MSCC Nurse
  • 3 or more years clinical experience, preferably in rehabilitation
  • Certification as a CLCP or CNLCP preferred

Minimum Education:

  • Associate degree or diploma (Nursing program) required; Bachelor's degree preferred
