ARCHER's core offering is post-settlement Healthcare Lien Resolution Administration and QSF (Qualified Settlement Fund) Administration and payments processing for multi-claimant (mass tort and class action) litigation. Other services include claims administration, single event lien resolution, probate and bankruptcy coordination, release administration, medical records review, and plaintiff fact sheet and other intake/census preparation and management.  ARCHER enables law firms to focus on their litigation while ensuring that critical pre-settlement and post-settlement administration documents, services, business analytics and reporting are handled efficiently and effectively.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Jr. Product Owner will work closely with the Product Owner to help with the management of our applications and will be the bridge between the business and the development team.   The Jr. Product Owner will be responsible for working with the business to understand and document their needs and requirements, diagram workflows, evaluate current processes and help design solutions to meet the business needs.  The Jr. Product Owner will serve as the product expert, will develop product roadmaps, and will help with the implementation of new features.   The products that will initially be managed by the Jr. Product Owner are more technical in nature, so will require technical skills.     

                                                                                                           

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Working closely with the business to create a product backlog according to business value
  • Prioritizing and properly grooming the Product Backlog, and planning product releases and setting expectations for the delivery of features
  • Communicate the vision and goals at the beginning of every release and sprint
  • Engage with key stakeholders and with the Product Owner to ensure that all relevant inputs to the Product Backlog have been collected and prioritized, this includes conducting requirements meetings to understand their processes and pain points
  • Coordinate with Application Support team in troubleshooting bugs and quick resolution of end-user issues
  • Coordinating with Training Manager on product training for users
  • Updating and maintaining product documentation including roadmaps, requirements, and release plans
  • Attend scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Refinement, and Sprint Retrospective
  • Working with the Business Analyst to help ensure product features are developed into well-defined product requirements including developing user stories and acceptance criteria in Jira
  • Assist with design sessions in prototyping and screen mockups
  • Ability to self-task and self-pace; ensuring timely submission of deliverables, triaging duties and responsibilities, and participation in both recurring and impromptu meetings
  • Plan out timelines and checkpoints that can be quantitatively evaluated to assist with project planning and setting expectations for vested parties
  • Interface with both technical and non-technical members of ARCHER; clearly and efficiently communicating with the terminology and detail appropriate for the audience
  • Graph, chart, and clearly document current business processes and tribal knowledge into an understandable format that can be conveyed to parties with little to no knowledge of the subject

     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES                                                                                                                        

Must Have

  • 3+ Years working as a Jr. Product Owner or similar position
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Experience working with Agile/SCRUM, writing user stories and following the development process through user story acceptance
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Experience developing mock-ups or wire-frames
  • Workable knowledge of SQL or ability to quickly learn SQL
  • Experience with Excel
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills
