ARCHER's core offering is post-settlement Healthcare Lien Resolution Administration and QSF (Qualified Settlement Fund) Administration and payments processing for multi-claimant (mass tort and class action) litigation. Other services include claims administration, single event lien resolution, probate and bankruptcy coordination, release administration, medical records review, and plaintiff fact sheet and other intake/census preparation and management.  ARCHER enables law firms to focus on their litigation while ensuring that critical pre-settlement and post-settlement administration documents, services, business analytics and reporting are handled efficiently and effectively.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to receive lawsuit settlement data from various entities from which to develop and maintain spreadsheets/tracking for payments out of an assigned Qualified Settlement Fund.  Auditable tracking of payments is required; and are made to many external entities including attorneys, claimants, lien holders and other 3rd party entities.  In addition, be responsible for the daily activity and overlooking the progress of each settlement assigned.  The Treasury Analyst will receive, clean, process, verify and report on all data applicable to these payments.  The Treasury Analyst will also work with the lien team in Austin, attorneys and other pertinent parties to update and react to events throughout the lifecycle of the QSF to maintain accurate data related to these payments. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinates the management of each settlement on various matters including, without limitation, (1) receiving disbursement requests and supporting data from parties (including clients (law firms), claims administrators, lien resolution administrators, etc.); (2) performing quality control for accuracy and to ensure all requirements for disbursement have been met; and (3) communicating any deficiencies directly to clients for resolution
  • Data Integrity – Collect data, build different models and analyze data as per client requests and update the master document for clients along with conducting reconciliations for clients for settlements
  • Pull data from different sources to prepare monthly reports for clients and senior management
  • Dealing with clients directly and working on their ad-hoc requests and assignments
  • Co-ordinating with other departments internally and being a subject matter expert, training other team members in USA and India
  • Working with the Accounting department on the status of payment requests for each QSF settlement fund
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems and opportunities and suggest the best practice or best approach to improve existing processes and make them more efficient

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • At least 2-3 years of accounting/finance/treasury/fund management experience
  • Sequel Database experience a plus; including creating, and running a database
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and communicate with fellow employees in different offices
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/statistics or Equivalent
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel skills required. Must be able to perform the following: data manipulation, conditional formatting, lookup functions, logical functions, MATCH and SUBTOTAL functions, macro use and development, mapping data from one source to another, Power BI, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and using other advanced functions; must have in-depth understanding of primary functions within Excel
